Welcome to Harvest View® Wine
Our view of the harvest is found in each special bottle of spectacular Sonoma & California wine.
We work with local vineyard owners, winemakers and coopers to create each wine. Special vineyards provide excellent flavors and freshness. Their skill is shown in the resulting fruit, its delicacy, its balance and ripeness all impacted and influenced - by decisions of vineyard layout, clonal and varietal selection, pruning and trellising choices.
Experienced winemakers take the fruit and use their expertise constantly - from picking decisions, winemaking techniques, choice of wild and/or commercial yeast, and selection of one or more different cooperage.
Our consulting winemakers then work together to finish the wine - which requires a light and nuanced touch. One Harvest View wine may have 5 different winemakers contributing to the final wine. Blending is one step -for example, just 3% of one pinot blended into another changed everything about it. But the 3% pinot had wine from 4 different winemakers already blended into it.
This is an amazing wine - held in cold storage, now released. The vineyard is on top of Calistoga road, in the forest bordering Napa and Sonoma County. This Mountain Ranch Road vineyard is tucked away in the hills, obscured by the trees, yet produces excellent conditions for hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon. The earthy soils provides the fruit with the clear scent of cedar, producing a deeply aromatic wine that emphasizes complexity, forest, nature.
Produced by one of Napa Valley’s most consistent winemakers. Just 110 case production.
This Zinfandel comes from a 110 year old vineyard in Mendocino County. LBV stands for our Late Bottled Vintage - a caramelized wine given extra time in barrel. Normally done in Portugal and labeled ‘LBV’.

A big mouthful of Chardonnay. Deep tropical fruit with a touch of warm oak. Super complex wine. These grapes were grown high up Sonoma Mountain, from vines planted over 50 years ago.
Harvest View works with several small wineries to source our exclusive wines.
This 2012 Cabernet Franc was a special find - a vineyard owner had a little extra Cabernet Franc - a rare gem in any year. Only 56 cases of this wine were produced for us - a bold wine with a smooth belly. Let this breathe upon opening and it will pay off - there is a bright acid but a nice tannin. Leathery mid palate. Dry finish that will pair unbelievably with a charred steak.

This beautiful wine is a Primitivo clone of Zinfandel from a Yolo County vineyard. This version comes direct from Italy via UC Davis . So it has a different quality than others in the Sonoma region.
We added just a touch of Petite Sirah and some 110 year old Vine Zinfandel to create this exquisite wine. The lighter bodied Primitivo caresses the bolder Petite, and welcomes the rich Old Vine Zinfandel.
This blend is literally one of a kind. Just 100 cases produced.
HV Primitivo produced by Nicole Salengo (shown) and Alexa Mietz.
